Inspection Drone

The Inspection drone is equipped with a Sony a7RM5 camera equipped with 61 megapixels and a 35 mm full-frame sensor. It is a drone that takes precise images of the structure from a free angle of 180′ above and below, and uses a distance sensor to prevent collisions of the drone in dangerous situations.

 It is easy to move and store even with a high-weight shooting DSLR camera, gimbal, and [front, rear, left and right] distance sensor. It adopts a foldable structure and unfolds during flight by folding and unfolding when stored. The simple preparation process for folding and unfolding allows you to complete your flight preparation in three minutes.

Gimbal System

The design of the Indigo inspection drone gimbal was to maximise the performance of the professional Sony A7 61 megapix camera. The gimbal was designed to overcome both wind-induced vibrations, and attitude of the aircraft by adding excellent vibration dampening control. The gimbal also offers a perfect platform to all types of inspection due to the extreme tilt angles from -90 to +90 (180′) and Roll Angles: -40 to +40 (80′). In addition, the tilt performance of the gimbal allows for free and stable vertical and horizontal shooting depending upon the exact tasks required.

Sony A7 optimum inspection camera

The Indigo Inspection drone has been designed around the Sony A7 RM5 Camera ensuring its optimum functionality and endurance. The Sony A7 is equipped with 61 Megapixels and a 35mm full frame sensor to ensure every detail is captured. The standard camera package is offered with the 35mm lens but others are available if preferred.

The compact 61 megapixels camera can provide clear and precise details even in dark places, and due to the resolution of the image it can typically detect micro cracks down to 0.03mm in size. So even the hardest and smallest of crack on the outer wall of the building and structures are captured.

Anti-collision sensor

The Indigo Inspection drone has an array of anti-collision sensors mounted around the drone protect the airframe when flying in close proximity or in very confined spaces. These sensors detect obstacles in full 360 degrees around the drone but also above, with an option to also add a further sensor below to offer complete omni-direction obstacle detection.

Quick Release Battery System

The Gryphon Dynamics Quick Release battery canisters allow rapid and hot swapping of standard industry art battery systems. The placement of the underslung battery module gives a low centre of gravity to the drone, aiding the autopilot and flight endurance, and by being contained within the battery quick release module the batteries are rigidly fixed during flight for safety.

Folding Arms

The folding and unfolding process is very quick, so you can make your drone ready to fly in less than 5 minutes. A lock knob system was adopted for the hinge area, which otherwise could be vulnerable to vibration during flight, these lock knobs minimise the vibration on both sides of the hinge, making the arms rigid once assembled.
