Compact drones (GD-24XM) are designed for fast flight preparation and ease of mobility. Specialized for payloads weighing less than 3 to 8 kg, it is optimized for flights with mission equipment or courier equipment along with cameras and gimbals. It is a 1000 mm compact drone, but it can fly stably after carrying a payload of up to 8 kg.
It also incorporates ESC patented technology to reduce the burden of continuous flight.
The GD-24XM is flight-stable, lightweight and sturdy thanks to the carbon and AL60 series aluminum frames built by Gryphon Dynamics.
Motor boom with heat dissipation parts
The GD-24XU is equipped with a unique internal boom technology with a dedicated heat dissipation unit. A patented Gryphon Dynamics technology that reduces the probability of failure and error due to the significant heat generated by the electronic speed controller when flying continuously, or in hot climates. By mounting the heat dissipation units on opposite sides of the drone’s arm it also allows the airflow to quickly and efficiently control the heat generated by the electronic transmission. With the electronic speed controller system being built into the motor booms, this minimises the impact on thrust loss as each boom is more streamlined. In addition, the lightweight design helps secure longer flight time as the is no need to fix the ESC’s with separate mounts and fixtures. |
Distribution board with integrated power supply and signal cables
The integrated distribution board for multicopters, a patented technology, is designed to operate a variety of power sources in various equipment without having additional wiring and additional BECs. Two 12Vs and two 5Vs are basically output, which helps reduce the weight of drones. It is also designed to reduce mutual interference and minimize the impact of geomagnetic fields with centralized wiring. In addition, further weight and wiring is minimised when used in conjunction with the Gryphon looms, which simply plug in via molex connectors. This offers the additional benefit of easy installation and reduced points of failure. |
Folding System
The main booms have an aircraft grade hinge connector which allows the arms to swing inboard for when the drone is being stored or transported. This reduces the size of the drone considerably. The booms folding arm connector is made of lightweight storing aircraft grade AL6061 aluminium, once opens the booms are secure rigidly in place with metal lock knobs. The lock knob system has been adopted to secure the hinge area, which otherwise could be vulnerable to vibration during flight, these lock knobs eradicate the vibration on both sides of the hinge, making the arms rock solid once assembled. This system also allows the drone to be assembled and ready for flight in less than 3 minutes.
Unfolded Size : 1267mm X 1267mm X 436mm (incl. propellers) (Dimensions vary depending on propeller and landing gear) |
Quick Release Battery System
The Gryphon Dynamics Quick Release battery canisters allows rapid and hot swapping of standard industry smart battery systems. The placement of the underslung battery module gives a low centre of gravity to the drone, aiding the autopilot for rock soli stability and maximising flight endurance. Being contained within the battery quick release module the batteries are rigidly fixed during flight for safety. |
