The Bionic Eye Shipping & Delivery Policy

We pack and ship professional drone equipment and components to customers in the UK and worldwide. Delivery times are estimates and depend on courier performance, weather conditions and restrictions on the transport of dangerous goods.

UK Delivery

Free UK standard delivery applies to orders over £99. It does not apply to standalone batteries, hazardous materials, bulky items, or deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and offshore islands.

• Royal Mail Tracked 24 for orders placed before 15:00
• Courier Next Day for orders placed before 12:30

Orders placed after the Friday cut-off are dispatched the following Monday. We select the most suitable courier based on the value, size and insurance requirements of each parcel.

Batteries

Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods for transport, so free delivery does not apply to battery orders. Tattu and other high-capacity batteries are dispatched directly from the supplier or manufacturer on a standard service, with delivery in 7 to 10 working days. Batteries over 100Wh are shipped through FedEx’s dangerous goods service. If no shipping rate appears at checkout for a battery, please contact info@thebioniceye.co.uk for a freight quotation.

Delivery Instructions Given to the Courier

We deliver to the address provided at checkout. If you use a courier service such as UPS My Choice, DHL On Demand or Royal Mail Delivery Manager to redirect a parcel, authorise delivery to a safe place or nominate a collection point, the parcel is treated as delivered once the courier completes delivery as you instructed. Responsibility for the parcel passes to you at that point.

International Delivery

We ship worldwide by tracked air courier, with same-day dispatch for international orders placed before 12:30 UK time. Orders delivered outside the UK are zero-rated for UK VAT and travel with a commercial invoice for customs clearance. Customs declarations show the full value and correct description of the goods, as the law requires.

Import Duties, Taxes and Fees

Import duties, taxes and customs brokerage fees in the destination country are payable by the recipient. They are not included in the product price or the shipping charge shown at checkout.

These charges are set by the customs authority of the destination country, not by The Bionic Eye. They depend on how the goods are classified, their value and their country of manufacture, which may differ from the country they are shipped from. Because the amount is assessed by customs when the goods arrive, it is not shown at checkout. The courier normally collects it before or on delivery.

For example, goods entering the United States are assessed by US Customs and Border Protection and may be subject to tariffs based on their country of manufacture. If you need to know the likely amount before ordering, we recommend checking with your local customs authority, or contacting us for the classification and country of manufacture of the goods.

Additional Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated automatically at checkout. If your address attracts a courier remote area surcharge, or an item needs special handling, we will contact you before dispatch to agree any additional charge.

Refused or Undeliverable International Shipments

If an international parcel is returned to us because import charges were not paid, delivery was refused, or the delivery address was incorrect, we will refund the order once the parcel is back with us:

• Consumers: the price of the goods and standard outbound delivery, less the return carriage charged by the courier.
• Business customers: the price of the goods, less outbound and return carriage and any duties, taxes or fees the courier charges to us.
